Why Replace Them

Factory rubber fuel hoses harden, swell and crack with age and engine heat. A failing hose can leak fuel, leave a diesel smell under the hood, or let air into the fuel system. Air in the fuel can cause hard starts, rough running, loss of power or the need to re-prime after a fuel filter change.

When one hose fails, the others are usually close behind, so replacing the full set at once saves you from chasing leaks one hose at a time.

Installation Tips

• Relieve fuel pressure and disconnect the batteries before removing any fuel hoses.
• Replace one hose at a time to keep the routing correct.
• Inspect the clamps and replace any that are rusted or weak.
• Prime the fuel system after installation and check every connection for leaks.
