Frequently Asked Questions

Will these fit my 2020 or newer truck?

No. These covers fit the 5- and 6-speed Allison 1000 used through 2019. 2020 and newer trucks use the Allison 10L1000 10-speed.

Do I need to replace the gaskets?

Yes. Always use new gaskets when a PTO cover comes off. Two new gaskets are included, one for each side.

What is the thread sealant tape for?

Use it on any pipe-threaded plugs or fittings in the covers to prevent leaks.

Is this a good time to do other transmission service?
