Coolant Tank Float Switch, LML Duramax 2011-2016
This coolant tank float switch from Merchant Automotive is for custom and aftermarket coolant tanks on the 6.6 Liter Duramax LML. The factory surge tank has a built-in low coolant sensor. When it's replaced with a fabricated tank, the truck loses that signal and sets a low coolant warning.
This switch mounts in the custom tank, gives the truck a working coolant level signal again and keeps a false warning from setting.

Benefits
An aftermarket coolant tank shouldn't mean living with a low coolant warning on the dash, or losing real low coolant protection. With this switch installed, the warning goes away when the tank is full and still works if the coolant level actually drops. Do I need this with the factory coolant tank?
No. The factory LML surge tank already has its own low coolant sensor. This switch is for custom or aftermarket tanks that don't.
Will it work on an older Duramax?
No. For 2001-2010 LB7, LLY, LBZ and LMM trucks, use the Universal Coolant Tank Float Switch, Duramax 2001 - 2010.
Will it fit my tank?
The tank needs a provision for a float switch. If you're unsure, contact us with your tank's brand and part number before ordering.
